DJ Boosto was born and raised in Flint, MI. in the 70's Looking to music as a way to express himself, some of his earliest childhood memories include break-dancing with his brothers to the sounds of early Hip-Hop, Soul and Funk being projected into the streets by an old-school Boom Box.

Later in life DJ Boosto was drawn to the underground scenes of Flints’ Downtown punk and metal shows at the Capital Theater. Also traveling 60 minutes south to frequent warehouse parties and back alley venues where he watched Detroit Techno, and House DJ’s like Juan Atkins, Carl Craig, Frankie Bones and Richie Hawtin spin on a regular basis.

He left his job as a real estate agent to pursue his love of music and the art of DJing. First: sharpening his skills by Rockin’ Birthday parties, and weddings, later graduating to nightclubs and Hip Hop hot spots.
