........Meet
the Characters of 104 1/2 Street
HIP-HOP
GROUP MIZCELLANEOUS founded
when two troubled inner city youths find each
other while checked into the juvenile detention
system. With Streets ability to write in the
language of the Hood about the conditions of
growing up in a gritty city and Big Kif's ability
to deliver these words like a professional baseball
pitcher's 90 mph fastball, Mizcellaneous is born.
Together over the years they develope into one
of the city's hottest Hip-Hop duos. Industry
nights, basements rap champs, house party ciphers,
ghetto juxsta's, gett'in high and rid'in high!
A
local Detroit promoter/hustler by the name of Akeen
takes notice and offers to work with them and "up
their game". He introduces them to a another
local cat from the Southwest Side of Detroit by
the name of Mekko. A Mexican-American Hip-Hopper,
who is the missing piece that pushes Streets, Big
Kif and Mizcellaneous to the next level. |

| STREETS White,
Early 20s. Born and raised in the gutted automobile
manufacturing city of Flint, Michigan and abandoned
to the Foster Care system at a very young age, leaves
scars 1000 miles wide on the inside of a young boy
growing up in an equally scarred city with a hardend
soul. In and out of homes and detention centers,
Streets finds escape and sanctuary by writing his
thoughts and feelings down in notebooks. It wasn't
until he met up with his best friend Big Kif and
they formed the Hip-Hop group Mizcellaneous that
he felt he had any purpose or direction in life.
He now has a sense of hope for his future in a city
with its people against the ropes. |
BIG
KIF Black,
Early 20s. Kif spent the his first 10 years
growing up in the lower wards of New Orleans
with his grandmother. After moving north to
Detroit to reunite with his mother and baby
sister Kiesha, the black hole in his heart
got even deeper. A big and intiminating figure
on the outside, he's a very hurt and wounded
little boy on the inside. He quickly learned
that to survive in the mean streets of this
desparate city he had to hustle and hustle
big. Lives at home with his mom and sister
Keisha, who has a little baby from a thug who
wants nothing to do with her or the baby. Although
Kif and Kiesha are constantly on each other,
Kif has bonded very strongly with his nephew.
He sees himself in the little boy. His protector.
Well
known in his neighborhood for his rap abilities,
being in the Hip-Hop group Mizcellaneous has pushed
his notoriety as one of the cities best Rap deliverymen
far outside his hood. It was his best friend Streets
lyrics that he used to earn the undisputed "Battle
Rap Champ" of the city. Known as "The
Shredder". |
MEKKO Mexican-American,
Early 20s. Born and raised in SouthWest Detroit's
Mexican Town. Used to be involved with a gang that
would steal cars for export to Mexico. Has a father
doing a very long stretch in prison who he misses
very much. His mother and four sisters still live
in SouthWest Detroit, but he has moved out of the
city to distant himself from the "Elements".
He lives with his Aunt and Nephew.
Mekko
has been gifted with a singers heart, voice and
good looks, but is deeply involved with Hip-Hop
and the culture as his outlet at this point in
his life. Detroit promoter Akeem brought him into
the group Mizcellaneous. His addition solidified
it as the most popular sound coming out of the
Gritty City. |
VONDA Black,
early 20s, beautiful. Streets girlfriend. Born
and raised on the industrial upper end of the I-75
corridor of Saginaw, a.k.a. SagNasty, she moved
to Detroit at the age of eight with her mother
and sister shortly after the death of her father.
She watched her dad die from a herion overdose.
This changed her life forever.
After
being lost in the world for a minute, she regained
control and enrolled in a college program to become
a nurse. Still holding onto a small piece of her
past, she works part time as a stripper to support
herself and pay for nursing school. She believes
that being a stripper is the fastest and easiest
way for her to make money.
She
met Streets one night at a party in Detroit where
he and Kif were cipher'in. She was captivated by
his poetic soul. He was captivated by her beauty.
She always got alot of static from black guys about
being with a white boy, but she didn't care much
about what anybody said. |
| TIARA Latina,
mid 20s. Born in the Dominican Republic, she grew
up in Miami, Florida. A wild child by nature she
learned how to use and work her stuff at an early
age. Always had a dream of becoming a Vegas Showgirl.
A cousin in Miami introduced her to the world of
dancing for men and she took to it like a natural.
She likes rich guys who are into bisexual women.
Found out that she could make more money by going
to the clubs up north where her Dominican beauty
was considered exotic. This led her to the Detroit
and Windsor, Ontario area where she met her best
friend Vonda. She always dogs Streets about being
with Vonda and how he ain't good enough for her. |

CAN
YOU SEE THE REAL ME
man's
desparate search for meaning in todays modern society.
Are
you living the life that you want? What would it take to make
you really happy? Maybe you don't know exactly what your dreams
are, but you can sense them somewhere deep within you. They
keep reminding you that you're not satisfied with your life,
that something crucial is missing.
Why
are so many of us living a life of quiet desperation. Why do
we work so hard at things that we truly don't care all that
much about, but put virtually little or no effort in pursuing
our dreams and passions. What should I do with my life, does
the world control us or do we control our world. |
